You’ve made it to Week 7 of quarter 2, and this week is all about bringing your voice into the spotlight (gulp) with purpose. This week is more about giving yourself permission to do "content creation" your way and let go of the expectations you've felt like you need to meet when it comes to social media. Phew!
Last week, you finally wrote your bio and boy oh boy does it feel good to have that finally done and out of the way. Those dang bios take so much energy to think about and hopefully we made it nice 'n' easy for you to put together now that you have SO MUCH DATA about yourself and what makes you special!
This week, we're going hard on content! Yep, you're building a content action plan that actually doesn’t have to feel overwhelming or prescriptive! God bless us all. This week, we’ll reflect on your voice, energizing abilities, purpose, and the distinct perspective only you can offer. All while making sure it fits within your values and aligns with what you have to offer. It's gonna be great!
Crafting Your Content Action Plan
Content isn’t just TikTok or Reels, it’s anything you put out into the world that communicates with your audience. Yes, it could be a TikTok, a deep-dive newsletter, a video series, an IRL workshop, a podcast, or that super vulnerable blog you’ve always dreamed of making. It can live on whatever platforms work for you where you feel aligns with your values. And it doesn't have to be a traditional platform! Book clubs, community events, and guided discussions in group chats can count if that's what aligns.
But don’t buy into the “be everywhere at once” myth. A lot of these platforms are intentionally built to make us feel like we’re not doing enough. THEY’RE THE PROBLEM, NOT YOU. Research shows platforms like Meta restrict organic reach to pressure people into posting more, so there's more content and more eyeballs just so that more brands will purchase ads. Ew!!!
If you’re chasing some arbitrary “Engagement!” goal, it’s time to stop. What actually works is posting more powerful, interesting content. NOT posting often. When you create unique content that speaks to your audience in a way that only you can, that’s what grows your reach with the right people. Not some hack, 20 hashtags, or robotic algorithm strategy. You could be a TREND FOLLOWING DRONE posting whatever is popular and hoping for views because it's what everyone else is doing. But there's no longterm fulfillment in that! That strategy is built on doing what's popular, not what's aligned with your values and personality. It's giving peaked in high school energy. We want you peaking often and forever until you're dead!
This strategy will ultimately fuel your growth while making sure you’re thriving, fulfilled, and totally feeling aligned. You can sleep knowing you’re doing what’s right for you and sharing your unique brain with the world! There’s nothing better.
